Sandbox, baby

Over the weekend, Jason and I built a sandbox for Silas. It was so much fun! It actually turned out to be a good bit bigger than we imagined it to be in our heads, but that's okay. Our little buddy loved it! When I was growing up, I can't tell you how many hours and hours we spent in our sandbox, so building this for Silas makes me really happy. We hope that he enjoys it for a long time, and it's plenty big enough for his friends and cousins to come and play in it, too.

Here is one picture from "swimming" at Krimson and Daniel's house, and some of when we went to visit my mom in the mountains. At her house, there is a little room with a gate where Mom's daschunds were. Silas figured out that if he yelled loudly, the dogs would bark and bark and bark. He LOVED this game! He would laugh and laugh when the dogs barked back at him, yelling again when they stopped so they would bark again. Oh, what fun!

We're actually pretty happy with how our yard is looking this year! Yay! Finally. The newest addition is a little rock garden at the end of the path to the front porch. The blooming plant is portulaca, which Jason's co-worker Brandy gave us. This is a really fun garden because we do absolutely nothing to it and never have to water anything. Woo hoo!

I enjoy seeing what is going on with you two and Silas.Looks like Silas loves his sandbox.

I like the pics of the plants, I am way into the plants as well. The problem we have here is the plants all have thorns and the native grass will pierce your feet because it is so dry. I can't wait to see you guys again. See ya, James
