We've been back in, and out, of the swing of things since we went back to school in January. Next week is SPRING BREAK!!! Yahoooooooo!! We are going camping at Vogel State Park, where I grew up going in the summers. I am excited to see how Silas enjoys being out in nature for a few days of hiking, playing, and exploring.

At my last prenatal visit, our baby girl is measuring ahead of schedule, at 31 weeks instead of 29! No wonder my muscles hurt! Hopefully she will slow down a little bit, so she isn't 10 lbs by her due date! We had a 3-D ultrasound last week, and we could really see what she looks like and what she was doing in there. I think she looks like Jason! Only about 2 1/2 more months until we will see her in person! Now that is exciting.

I had a conference to go to last weekend, so Silas spent a couple of nights with his Grammy in the mountains. He had a lot of fun, and especially liked hiking around outside and throwing rocks, watching the squirrels and turkeys with the binoculars, and dying easter eggs. Here are some pictures from his trip!

Silas really wanted his picture taken with this duck, so that's what this picture is about. Doggy had fun, too, and apparently needed a diaper.

Snow!!!

Yahoo!!! We got snow!!!! It didn't stay for long, but it was fun for the few hours that it lasted!! Too bad we didn't get a snow day out of it, but we'll keep our fingers crossed that we get more soon.

Daddy was happy too! We played and ran in the field...

And we tried to catch snowflakes on our tongues...that is so much harder than you think it would be!

I can really feel the excitement in this last picture! haha. Time for bed...

It's a....

We're having a baby GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She is due around May 20th, and we are so excited! All is going well - she is very active, and in the ultrasound she looked healthy and strong. :) Happiness!

visit to Grammy's

Going hiking at Grammy's house, you never know what fun you will find. What could be better than a huge pile of gravel and some tall grass to run through?!?! Seriously, Silas played on that pile of rocks forEVER, climbing up and sliding back down again. He loves going up there and going for hikes, feeding the birds, and spending time with is Grammy and Reginald.

more Christmas pics

Christmas pictures

Here are some pictures that Julie took for us this Christmas. Silas is getting to be such a big boy! He had fun this Christmas, and it was fun for us to watch him too. He got lots and lots of cars and trucks, a vacuum cleaner, some puzzles and books, and musical instruments for the bathtub, among other things. We didn't get to go see Santa Claus because he was under the weather from when we got out of school until Christmas Eve, but I kind of think he would have been scared to go up there anyway. It's hard to believe that next year, we will have another baby around for the holidays! Wow.

Bye bye Paci!

A day or so after we got out of school for Christmas Break, it was time for Silas to give up his pacifier. He only used it at night, but it was time for it to go...I was actually pretty sad when they "went", which I didn't expect. I guess it was one of the last things to give up before Silas gets to be a big boy. He does so many things now that are so "big boy".

Here is the day that he gave up his paci(s).

We gathered them together and addressed the Special Delivery package to be sent to Santa Claus at the North Pole. Silas put all of them in the envelope and helped me to seal it shut.

Then we were off to the Post Office. Silas put them in the "out of town" mail box and waved "Bye Bye Paci's!!" (This was the part where I actually got a little sad! ha.)

Then we went out to eat at the Krimson Kafe to celebrate! Silas asked about the pacifiers only a few times after this, and has done a great job sleeping at night without them. Hooray!

Happy News!

We are thrilled to let everyone know that Silas will soon be a BIG BROTHER! We are expecting our second little baby at the end of May. Jason and I couldn't be more excited about all of the new things that are coming our way, and we know that Silas will be a great big brother.
Happy Holidays!
Love,
Jason, Stacey and Silas

gymnastics

This Fall, Silas has been taking a gymnastics class at Bishop Park. He absolutely LOVES it. As you can tell by the pictures, it is very, very active which is perfect for him!

Some of his favorites are the little trampoline, bouncy ball and monkey bars, spinning disc, and bars.

His all-time favorite is the big trampoline, though. Jump and fall, jump and fall! Silas and Aaron demonstrate the "falling" portion of their routine below...

Washington Farms pumpkin patch

Silas visited the Washington Farms pumpkin patch with his best friend Aaron. They saw lots of animals at the petting zoo, rode on a hayride, and picked out their own pumpkins to take home. Mostly, though, Silas enjoyed running around like a crazy boy and watching me chase after him. hm.

Halloween

This year, Silas was a skeleton for Halloween. I especially like the one-sock Skeleton picture :). Thanks for the costume, Grammy!! It was so cute. Jason and I dressed up, too. He is a barbarian (see pictures below) and I was a witch. We love Halloween!!!

Silas and Ellie got the sweet ride while trick-or-treating! That was the way to go!!

visiting Beth

We went to visit Beth at her new place, which is sooooooo cool. My camera batteries died not long after we got there, so I only have a couple of pictures. There is a neat little pond behind her cabin, so we took the boat out. That was really fun, even when it started taking on water. oops! We got to see lots of beautiful horses, especially her wild mustang, Shiloh. Although I think Silas' favorite part was riding around the property in the jeep.
