Happy Easter!
We had a fun-filled Easter day today! This morning, we got up and saw that the Easter Bunny visited our house last night!! He left our little buddy some great goodies, and Silas had a good time getting his easter basket and finding the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid all over the living room. Grammy and Reginald sent some easter books, too, which were fun to read after breakfast.

Where are more easter eggs?

In the afternoon, we had lots of family over for an Easter potluck and it was so much fun! Silas' three great-grandparents were there, and his Grandpa, Babe, Nana, Papa and Sasta. It was a great, relaxing time and Silas entertained everyone as usual...they are all pretty fun, too, as you can tell.

easter egg hunt
Our neighbors had an easter egg hunt in their back yard on Saturday, and soooo many kids came!! Jason and I were all pumped up and excited about it - ooooohh, Silas' first egg hunt! He will have so much fun...
Silas and Daddy getting ready for the hunt.

He really digs deep to find those eggs.

And then...he finds the car, and that's that...no more hunting for eggs...

...until Silas and Ellie find the mother lode!

Springtime fun
We've been doing lots of fun stuff outside now that the weather is sooooo nice.
Last weekend, we went hiking at the Botanical Gardens with Beth and her friend John. That was so much fun, the weather was beautiful, and we cooked out and played cards all afternoon. Ahhhhhhh....brain vacation...
1. This first picture is so funny to me because this is a perfect depiction of how I feel most of the time.
2. The baby snake that Silas found (i.e. almost stepped on). Errr, nope, that didn't scare me a bit.
3. He really liked these statues, especially one he looks like he is talking to in this pic.
4. Goobers.

We're starting a little bit of work on our new yard. You can't see much of it in the picture, but Jason did a great job of building an herb-garden box for our front yard. Silas is here working hard watering the plants and playing in the dirt. We planted a few bulbs near the mailbox too. We'll see what we can get to grow and then actually keep alive.

Silas meets Jordan
Our good friends Julie and James came to Georgia for a visit recently and the kiddos got to meet for the first time. It will be fun when they each actually care that another kid is around! Jordan is suuuuuch a cutie pie and is a really sweet girl. We can't wait to go camping all together sometime :)

Cute picture from Grammy's

Silas spent last Tuesday night and Wednesday day with his Grammy in the mountains. He had a great time playing on her ramp, watching the turkeys, playing with the daschunds, and feeding the birds. Not to mention hiking up and down her hill of a front yard!! I bet Grammy was tired, but Silas sure did have a great time!
We just LOVE this picture. It's his personality to a T :)

January....
Yay, it finally feels like winter! We even had a snow (slushy ice) day last week! But yesterday it was 50 and today it is 40. Georgia weather is fun! :)
At the end of January we went to visit family in south GA for Pat's birthday and Ethan's birthday. Ethan turned 5!!! I can't believe that. He had a cowboys-and-indians birthday party. It was CRAZYYYY but fun. There were about 30 kids running around with little guns and tomahawks.

Pat's bday party was the same day - we played paintball! Fun.
Now that I think about it, Pat and Ethan's parties really weren't all that different. We adults just got to have real paintball guns and beer instead of toy guns and juice.

Terminator Shellie

Josiah, Travis and Jessica were here from Texas for all of the fun. Josiah is getting so big! He's so fun and laughs at everything. Seeing him really makes us realize how fast Silas is growing, too!

Last weekend, we went to the M&K Ball with our friends Scott, Amy, Jonathan, and Fonda. It was SO fun and Jason looked so awesome in his tux! He looks soooo good in a tux, I have to say!
It was fun playing paintball and being tough one weekend and then getting my nails done and wearing a fancy dress the next weekend!
