During our Spring Break in mid-March, we spent a few days up at Vogel State Park in the North Georgia mountains. I grew up camping there in the summers, so it was interesting being back after all these years - and there was virtually no one else there! We stayed in a cabin this time, though, instead of camping because it was in the 50's and drizzling the day we arrived. So, we opted for comfort, nice beds, a kitchen, a fireplace, and a bathroom that we could use without going out into the cold first. It was so much fun and a much needed, relaxing mini-vacation .
SCENERY
Creek behind the cabin, views from the trail around the lake, another creek in the campground that Silas liked to run beside and throw rocks into.
THE CABIN...not super fancy but oh, so niiiiice :) We have really missed having a fireplace inside, so that was fun. And having a campfire always makes for a good time.
CHILD'S PLAY...
Cutie pie on a rock.
Hiking with Daddy and Mommy around the lake.
First taste of roasted marshallows....mmm....
We spent a lot of time throwing rocks into the creek, hanging out by the campfire, and playing on the playground.
Silas was also very proud when he found an "H" and a Triangle.

By the way, this is how a 2-and-a half year old plays putt-putt.
